Privacy Policy
Last Updated: [17 Aug 2026]
Introduction and Scope
Welcome to RiserGold (“RiserGold”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to protecting the privacy, security and confidentiality of the personal information entrusted to us by our customers, visitors and users.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect and share personal information when you use our website, request a gold valuation or quotation, schedule an appointment, sell gold, receive payment, contact our team or otherwise interact with our services.
We process personal data only for lawful and clearly stated purposes, in accordance with applicable Indian data-protection requirements, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable.
Information We Collect
We may collect contact and appointment information such as your name, mobile number, email address, city, service address, preferred appointment time and the details included in your enquiry.
For gold valuations and transactions, we may collect information about the item, including its type, approximate or verified weight, purity or karat, hallmark details, photographs, estimated value, final quotation and transaction reference.
Where verification or payment is required, we may collect identity, address, PAN or other tax information, proof of ownership, bank-account details and documents reasonably necessary to complete the transaction or meet legal requirements.
We may also collect communications with our team and standard technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, referring page, approximate region and error logs. We use this information to operate, secure and improve the website.
How and Why We Use Your Information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange valuations, prepare quotations, coordinate doorstep services, verify transaction details, purchase gold, process payments, issue records and provide customer support.
We may also use information to maintain business records, prevent fraud, investigate security incidents, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our terms and protect RiserGold, our customers and our representatives.
We process information with your consent, to provide a service you requested, to comply with applicable law or where another lawful basis permits the processing. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, although this does not affect earlier lawful processing or information we must retain by law.
We may use aggregated or anonymised information that does not reasonably identify you to understand service demand, improve website performance and develop better customer experiences.
Gold Valuations, KYC and Payments
Online calculator results and preliminary quotations are estimates. The final value may change after professional assessment of weight, purity, market rate, testing results, applicable deductions and transaction conditions.
Certain transactions may require identity or ownership verification for fraud prevention, payment, tax, record-keeping, anti-money-laundering or other legal purposes. We do not request unnecessary identity documents for ordinary website browsing or initial enquiries.
To pay you for an eligible gold transaction, we may process the account holder name, bank name, account number, IFSC code, payment reference and transaction amount. A bank, financial institution or payment provider may also process this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
RiserGold will never ask for your banking password, ATM PIN, UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV or OTP through an ordinary website form. You should never share these credentials with anyone claiming to represent us.
Sharing and Third-Party Services
RiserGold does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their independent commercial use.
We may share only the information reasonably necessary with trusted providers that support our hosting, communications, appointment management, customer support, analytics, security, banking or payment services. We expect these providers to use the information only for authorised purposes and maintain appropriate safeguards.
We may disclose information when required by law, court order or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, investigate unlawful activity, protect safety or defend legal rights.
If you use an external website, payment service, WhatsApp, social-media platform or another third-party service, that provider's privacy policy also applies. If our business is reorganised, acquired or transferred, relevant information may be transferred with appropriate legal and confidentiality safeguards.
Cookies, Analytics and Communications
We may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies for essential website functions, security, form submission, preference management, analytics and performance improvement. You may control non-essential cookies through available website or browser settings, although disabling some technologies may affect functionality.
Analytics information helps us understand traffic, navigation patterns and technical errors. Where possible, we aggregate or limit this information so that it does not directly identify individual customers.
We may retain relevant email, telephone or WhatsApp communications for customer support, transaction verification, dispute resolution, quality assurance, fraud prevention and record-keeping. Where calls are recorded, we will provide notice when required by law.
With your consent, we may send promotional communications by email, SMS, telephone or WhatsApp. You may opt out at any time, but we may still send essential appointment, transaction, payment, security or policy notices.
Data Security and Retention
RiserGold uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, secure transmission, restricted staff access, monitoring, backups and contractual controls for service providers.
No internet-connected service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will investigate, contain and address the incident and provide any notification required by applicable law.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for a period required by law. Completed transaction records may be retained longer for accounting, tax, audit, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or regulatory purposes.
When information is no longer needed for a lawful purpose, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about the personal data we process about you and ask us to correct, complete or update information that is inaccurate or outdated.
You may request erasure of eligible personal information or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. We may continue to retain or process information when required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, contractual or dispute-resolution purposes.
You may opt out of marketing communications and raise a grievance about our handling of your information or the exercise of your privacy rights.
To protect your information, we may verify your identity before responding to an access, correction or deletion request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation on the request where permitted.
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information and for promptly informing us when important contact, identity, bank or transaction details change.
Legal, Regulatory and Age Requirements
Because our services involve valuable goods and financial settlements, we may review identity, transaction, contact and technical information to prevent fraud, protect customers and employees, comply with record-keeping duties and report suspicious or unlawful activity where legally required.
We may retain or disclose information in response to valid legal, regulatory, tax, judicial, governmental or law-enforcement requirements, or when necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Our gold-selling services are intended for individuals legally capable of entering into the transaction. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children for services requiring an adult customer. If such information is collected without legally required consent, we will take appropriate action.
Some service providers may process information outside India. Where this occurs, we will take steps required by applicable law and relevant contractual arrangements to protect the information.
Policy Updates, Grievances and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, business operations or legal requirements change. We will revise the “Last Updated” date and provide any additional notice or consent required for a material change.
If you have a question, wish to exercise a privacy right, withdraw consent or raise a grievance, contact RiserGold using the details below. We will review valid requests and concerns in accordance with applicable law and our internal procedures.
Please include enough information to help us identify your enquiry or transaction, but do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, card PINs, CVVs or other authentication credentials.
